Rule number one when planning your wedding.. It’s exactly that - YOUR wedding!
You can follow any format you choose for your big day and the same goes for the food. The term Wedding Breakfast simply is a celebration of your first meal together as a married couple and doesn’t have to be a traditional sit down plated affair - unless you want it to be? So to answer your question - no you don’t have to have a Wedding Breakfast..
If a traditional isn’t your style then let’s discuss together a created way for you and your nearest and dearest to enjoy a feast together incorporating all of your favourite elements!
There are many options you may wish to consider from sharing boards to large authentic paella pans cooked in front of your guests and more. You may wish to consider incorporating a hybrid of different format - perhaps a plated main with a sharing dessert or vice versa.
You may not be the sharing type of couple but find yourself uninspired by the traditional ‘meat and two veg’ kinda affairs. We hear you! Wedding catering has come a long way from ‘the chicken and a watery white wine sauce days’. Hey there is nothing wrong with these things but afterall you only in theory get married once and we can offer you something a little out of the box to aid celebrations!
Our approach here at Fossil Food Catering is we use local and sustainable produce to create a bespoke menu for you both. We love a twist on a classic - something that keeps you and your guests guessing or never experienced before during a wedding. We love changing people's perspective on ingredients too. Aunt Sally hates tomatoes? Challenge accepted! We love going the extra mile for all our couples from planning to delivery on the day. Most importantly we love hearing the foods you love and turning them into something totally unique for your big day!
Nice food will serve its purpose - we don’t know about you but we don’t settle for ‘nice’. We want memorable, delicious, bangin’ food! The type you will be reminiscing over with your loved ones for years to come. Now that’s special!
